Negative Attention on Artificial Dyes Drives Demand for Natural
If you take a walk through a grocery store, you’ll see more and more products claiming “No Artificial Ingredients” or “No Artificial Colors.”
It’s because more consumers are demanding companies to use natural coloring, claiming certain synthetic food dyes can cause major issues, especially in children.
Mentioned in this article is a kindergarten class in Alabama who after learning about food ingredients decided to keep foods with artificial color out of their classroom.
This just goes to show the movement to “natural” is very much real and upon us, and consumers, specifically Millennial mothers, are continually driving changes to our everyday foods and drinks by their actions and purchase behaviors. The pressure to reformulate is beginning to hit all categories.
