Natural color
A term that remains undefined by the U.S. FDA and is often misused in the food industry. In the USA, the FDA does not consider a color natural if it is added to a product in which it is not normally present. For example, strawberry juice to color strawberry yogurt would be consider “natural” whereas, beet juice used to color strawberry yogurt would not be. Definitions vary by country and governing regulatory bodies.
